Whatever your passion in life is, my suggestion is just to have (at least) one. Period.
(Or you could always just emulate this fine fellow?)
Here’s one of my very favorite quotes from author, Nobel Laureate, and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. Wiesel has spoken out about the perils on indifference on many occasions, highlighting the other cheek that was turned by many at the start of the Holocaust. Even today, I must agree with him as to the harm that simply not giving a d**n can do.
“The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.
The opposite of beauty is not ugliness, it’s indifference.
The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference.
And the opposite of life is not death, but indifference
between life and death.”
*One of Wiesel’s most popular works is the book Night, which you can buy from Amazon here.
This song doesn’t really have a lot to do with this topic but I just rediscovered it… It’s by Ben Lee.
Enjoy (or not, I mean, meh, whatever… *ha-ha get it?!*):
